Bibhuti Kumar Jha

I am Bibhuti Kumar Jha, a postdoctoral researcher at Southwest Research Institute in Boulder, Colorado. My primary research focus is understanding the solar cycle using Surface Flux Transport models. These models describe how moving plasma on the solar surface interacts with the magnetic field to produce the observed activity cycle. Understanding the solar cycle is essential to our understanding of our nearest star and its influence on us. I am passionate about science outreach and enjoy interacting with kids and others with non-scientific backgrounds to discuss complex scientific concepts in simple terms. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn about the natural world, regardless of their educational background. Moreover, I am also interested in teaching, photography, and other outreach activities.
