The Carruthers Geocorona Observatory is NASA’s first mission dedicated to studying the Earth’s exosphere, and will investigate the structure of Earth’s extended atmosphere and how it evolves, especially in response to space weather.

Status

The Carruthers Geocorona Observatory has launched and is on its way to the Earth-Sun Lagrange Point 1 (L1). Below is our last look at the observatory before it separated from the rocket.
